Where am I?
How do I know it?
What should I do?
If you have ever asked yourself these questions, you are engaging in philosophy.
What is philosophy?
Philosophy – meaning love of wisdom – is the science that asks questions about and seeks answers to the fundamental questions about the nature of existence (where am I?), knowledge (how do I know it?), and morality (what should I do?).
Throughout the centuries philosophers have posed these questions in different forms and have come up with differing answers, which each philosopher building upon (and sometimes rejecting) the questions and answers of others.
By examining the questions they posed and the answers they gave, we can better form our own opinions on the subject.
The Philosophy Guide is an exploration of those questions and answers.
